Throughout the Active Schools process our pupils carried out so many tasks to help make our school better.

Completing a ‘What Club are you in Survey’. You can find the results of this

Monitoring our PE storage press and PE equipment.
Organising playground equipment.
Leading ‘Active’ school initiatives e.g, Relays Take over etc.
Assisting in planning our yearly school timetable to ensure we incorporate Active events during the year.

Active School Flag Slogan
This year we had great fun creating an Active Schools Slogan. Our Active Schools
Committee decided to organise a competition amongst all pupils to create a slogan.
They chose the following slogan as the winner. Well done Isabelle!
What Club are you in Survey?
This year our pupils completed a ‘What Club are you in’ survey. Our Active school’s
committee tallied the results. Our pupils are members of many different sports clubs.
Soccer: Many of our pupils play soccer.

Gymnastic
1 pupil is a member of Twisters gymnastics club
Ms Melbourne sent an email to our Local Sports Partnership and to the Sports Inclusion Development Officer in Edenderry to find out more about sports in
Edenderry. Liam sent us lots of information and 2nd – 4th class got to participate in Athletics programme and competition which they thoroughly enjoyed. The whole school also received training from our local GAA club and our local rugby club. They participated in a Tag Rugby blitz in the locality which was great fun!
