Monasteroris National School are skipping around Europe!
Working as a team, each room is travelling to a different European city. This is done by adding together the skips each child does during the day!
This challenge gives the children an opportunity to get familiar with jumping games and tasks, to become familiar with the use of a skipping rope and to learn how to skip using a rope.
Each skip completed by each child individually will be added to our class total over a period of four school weeks.
1 skip = 1 KM on our map.
When we reach each European City we complete a flag, and have an opportunity to learn more about that city.
At the end of the four weeks, we will add together the total amount of skips and the total distance covered by the whole school to see how far the children of Monasteroris NS got!
